In 2021 we contacted Alico Boots in Italy and started a conversation about getting some 75mm boots from them. Alico is from the very old boot making region in northern Italy, home to most of the hand crafted leather telemark boots used in the 1980s and 90s. Last year we ordered our first trial run and they did well, well enough to develop a line of 3 boots for this winter (2023-24) Alico worked with us to customize the boots somewhat with their existing templates, and tested a variety of styles and iteration last winter and spring. Our focus was in using them for the Hoks, as we have come to find the 3 pin system to be an ideal set up on the Hoks, They are excellent for backcountry touring, very lightweight, easy to use, and the wide platform and beefy sidewalls make for really good control of the very wide Hok skis.
OUR THREE MODELSThe three models we are carrying this year are the Mountain, the BC, and the Tour.
is are all around entry level boot, great for touring as well as some moderate downhill runs. It skis a lot better then the universal binding and is sturdy enough for use in mixed terrain and snow. Light and comfortable, it is a great way to get started with the Hoks or upgrade from the universal binding.

is our top of the line leather boot – the thick split leather and the ankle reinforce strap give excellent support for turns and the full Thinsulate bootie help keep the feet warm and dry.

Sizing Mens 7 – 13, Women’s 6-10. Price $354.95
All three models use the New Outback sole, which is a bit thicker – 18mm vs 15mm like many of the other soles currently used. This gives a thicker and more robust sole, torsionally stiffer and less prone to cracking while fitting snuggly into all 3 pin bindings. The sole also has a curved notch for cable retention.
All three models also feature a nylon insole integrated into the base of the boot to control flex and keep the sole from getting too mushy over time. The Mountain being the stiffest and the Tour being the softest.
The boots are sized in US sizing and sizing seem to be quite true to size. Sizes will come in women’s 6-10 and men’s 7-14. The women’s boots are lasted slightly narrower in the heel.
