  • Heel Piece Kit – 3Pin- For Hoks

    $21.50

We are big fans of the 3 pin (75mm ) system. This boot and binding combination is sturdy, offers great ski control, is light, and tours really well. They are also plentiful and inexpensive. If you have some plastic 3 pin tele boots or classic old leather Asolos or Merrells (or Fabiano’s, Scarpas, Heierlings, Alicos…) and some 3 pins, Hoks are a great way to put them to use. For this we are offering a Heel  Kit. The kit includes two of our custom heel pieces, designed to use with inserts in the ski for no drill mounting, and adjustable to fit any size 3 pin boot. Along with the heel pieces, the kit includes all the machine screws for mounting your 3 pins and heel pieces, along with a packet of threadlocker to keep the screws from loosening in the inserts. We also include a #3 Phillips driver bit, the correct size for all our inserts screws. Screw size is M6 (6 mm) and lengths are 16 mm for the heel pieces and 12 mm for the toe pieces. This is an inexpensive and effective way to get going on a pair of Hoks.

  • 3 Pin Binding (75 mm) – includes Heel Kit

    $83.75

75mm binding (3 pin) with custom heel pieces and screws. The bindings are made by Voile and customize with our logo. We also include all machine screws (M6) needed to attach the binding and the heel pieces. The heel piece is design for the Hok, and can rotate between 3 inserts to fit any size 75mm (3 pin) boot.

NEW VERSION!   The narrow version refers to the bail height when closed. The Alpinas and similar boots have a thinner toe tab(the duck bill) so the narrrow version gives them a tighter fit in the binding when latched down.

  • Kōm Ski

    $429.95

The design of the Kōm goes back to the start of Altai Skis. It’s a dedicated backcountry ski without many of the usual compromises. The Kōm can be skied with a downhill focus as well as for lighter backcountry touring.

  • Tiak

    $44.75

Tiak means stick in the Altai Mountains, but when really skiing the Hoks, the Tiak is way more then just a stick, it is truly a game changer. This is  particularly true if one is keen to do some downhill skiing with the Hoks.   There are 2 stock sizes, 6 ft. and 7 ft. The pole should be 6 inches or taller than your height. We cut these in the local mountains (lodgepole pine) then hand peal and finish them here.

  • Balla (kids) Hok

  • Scarpa T4 Boots

    $459.00

Scarpa introduced the T4 a few years ago and it caught our attention immediately  for its light weight and tour friendly design. I bought a pair for my girlfriend Lisa, and she loved the fit and feel right out of the box. I had a chance to test them last year as well, and found them light (for an all plastic boot) and comfortable to ski and tour in. Downhill control with the 145 Hoks was more then enough and in testing the T4 with our new ski, the Kōm, it seemed a near perfect fit. Francois and I went back and forth on the pros and cons of carrying boots (lots of sizes…)and decided it was such a good match for the Kōm, as well as for the more adventurous Hok users, we would go for it.

  • Lined Elkskin Leather Gloves

    $74.75

If you are out in the snow a lot and really using your gloves, digging, clearing trails, firewood…. good leather is the only thing that holds up. I have been using these gloves for close to 10 years and find them the most durable and well made gloves around. The leather is thick but supple and the fit is really excellent. They are quite warm, with a thick pile lining, ideal for a day out exploring on the Hoks. The gloves are made in Centralia WA by Churchill Glove Co. and are customized to our design. They are also branded with our AS logo. Available in XS – XL.
